If you want to do
something different, want to make a difference or want to really get
to know the country you visit, then this is the trip for you. This
imaginative itinerary combines adventure and compassion providing
you lasting memories of the Himalaya and allowing you to make a
difference to a community in Nepal, one of the poorest countries in
the world.
The first part of your holiday allows you the opportunity to
experience a family stay & community project. What better way to get
to know Nepal than stay with a family and work with the local
community? Our community program allows you to get the most from
your visit to Nepal by becoming part of a community.
The second part takes you on a journey through time travelling
across this mystical Himalayan Kingdom. The holiday is based from 4
centres: Kathmandu Valley, rafting on Trisuli river, Chitwan
National Park and finally the foothills of the Annapurna range at
Pokhara. In Kathmandu you will have a chance to see the finest
Newari architecture, experience the hustle and bustle of the
medieval capital city, explore the cobbled streets and temple
complexes. You will discover adventurous white water rafting and
waves on Trishuli River. In Chitwan you will enjoy elephant back
safari’s and canoe rides in search of Rhino and crocodile, and
finally in Pokhara we take a walk into the foothills of the
Annapurnas.
We hope you will take away from this not only a deep understanding
of the culture and way of life, but also a great feeling of
satisfaction and an experience to treasure.
1st Day: Kathmandu
Our representative will pick you up at Kathmandu
Airport, and transfer you to the Guesthouse in Thamel. Afterwards you’ll have
several hours free time to rest. Depending on your arrival time we design the
evening programme.
2nd Day: Kathmandu
In the morning after breakfast. Then we show you around in Thamel, which is
the touristic center of Kathmandu, where you can find all necessary facilities
like money exchange, internet access. We take you to Swayambhunath - Buddhist
Shrine and In the evening we go to authentic Nepali restaurant for Dhal
Bhaat (traditional nepali cuisine) with Nepali Cultural Dance.
3rd Day: Kathmandu
After breakfast you will begin language training will start. You will learn
the “Basics” of the Nepali Language to enable you to communicate with the people
of Nepal. In the afternoon, after lunch we will take you on a city tour including
Durbar Square (world heritage site).
4 Day: Kathmandu
After breakfast, Language class continue. After lunch we will take you on a city tour
of Patan Durbar Square (world heritage site).
5th Day: Kathmandu
More sightseeing of Bauddhanath and Pashupatinath
Temple and visiting an orphanage. In the evening Cultural
information and move to family and then dinner.
6th - 15th: Kathmandu – Host family
Daytime you will be involve in the program. Stay overnight with
host family. We can prolong your stay with family.
Day 16th - 20th:
Recreational phase includes white water rafting and a visit to
Royal Chitwan National Park (2
nights, 3 days)
White Water Rafting
Discover adventurous white water rafting and waves of the
Trishuli River. The rafting trip begins at Charudi and ends at the
Kuringhat village. As you travel the river, you will see the
beautiful landscape of Nepal.
(Note: This program may not be available
during July and August because of flooding of the Trishuli River.)
Royal Chitwan national Park Visit
Visit Royal Chitwan National Park and enjoy
a jungle safari (2 nights, 3 days)
Visit Royal Chitwan National Park in the sub-tropical lowlands of
the inner Terai. Ride an elephant through dense jungle foliage in
search of exotic birds, antelope, rhinos, crocodiles, and Bengal
tigers. Learn more about the local Tharu people through a visit to
the Tharu village, the Tharu Museum, and a Tharu cultural dance
program.
Details of Royal Chitwan
National Park
Visit
Day 1: Reach Royal Chitwan National
Park. Welcome drinks and introductory talk by the program manager.
Dinner served.
Day 2: Wake up with refreshing tea and
breakfast. Cycle to the elephant breeding center. Visit Tharu
village and then return to camp for lunch and rest. Enjoy a museum
visit and a sunset view from the camp. At night, view a cultural
program performed by Tharu youngsters (Famous Tharu Stick Dance)
followed by dinner. Go for a canoe ride and jungle walk before
returning to camp for lunch and rest. Take an afternoon elephant
ride . Return at sunset for dinner.
Day 3: Wake up with refreshing
tea and breakfast. Transfer to Kathmandu
After completing the 2-week Language and Culture/Village Stay
Program, you will be prepared for either your enriching volunteer
placement or an adventure trekking through Nepal’s splendid
highlands.

Cancellation fees:
- Before starting training program -
75% Refund.
- No money will be refunded once you start your
placement and position are non transferable.
- No money will be refunded
for a program of 2 weeks duration
after commencement.
